Similar thing with long sales pages. Reader doesn't know exactly what he wants, isn't convinced, but with a lot of filler mumbo jumbo and some images, maybe a video, you can get them to buy on the spot.

They are pretty dumb, to be fair. Attacking random people without personal reasons hoping it would change the bigger picture is incredibly stupid if you think about it. Which they don't. They seem to take inspiration from revolutions a

Depends on the slave, but I call bullshit on "don't have to participate". If I don't participate, in 3-4 months I'd be homeless and with nothing to eat. What gives?

That's not exactly hacking, I've had a similar problem (paid rent by bank transfer and the "landlord" just vanished). The bank said "you transferred the money yourself, there's nothing we can do, it's like

I see digital artists making a living with Patreon, which is pretty interesting. I wonder if it would work well enough for other types of content.

Most people everywhere don't care, really.

Consumers don't care, they'll start caring when their last dollar is squeezed out of them and they start wondering why is their life so shit. At which point, it will be too late.

Jesus fucking Christ. Global leader in online fascism, more like. I wonder at which point citizens will stop and say "wait, what the hell?". Probably too late.

Since you were talking about Germany and jobs being a means of distributing wealth of sorts, what do you think about the taxes? Germany, Austria, Netherlands, Belgium all have some very high taxes on high earners compared to the US and UK,

It's the only free source of education left, and we can't have that, it's dangerous. That and the porn, prostitution has been going downhill ever since HD porn is available. Can't have that.

Please, games are far more addictive. Stimulating? Depends on what you play. MMO's can be worse than heroin.

More like a link between easy entertainment and unemployment. Before games, TV and movies did the same thing.

Yeah it was widely discussed at the time, what with Google censoring results and whatnot.

12 hours with the screen and WiFi or 3g always on. That would be amazing, and it doesn't sound that unachievable. I don't need ultraquadHD resolutions, even 720p is enough.

Interesting stuff. I guess the advantage is that you don't have to rely on nature and chance to get that food, since you literally create it from scratch.

How do you deal with that many tabs in Chrome? I found it to be a nightmare, the tab buttons are small, you can't even see the titles. Typing a part of a URL you remember in the address bar dumps you to Google search instead of the act

That doesn't seem right - surely a modern animal farm yields more food per energy expended than a group of hunters?

Maybe you were thinking of the E36? :D Many say the 1984-1994 Mercedes E-klasse was the last car that was built to last. Afterwards, they switched to cheaper parts, less overengineering, to keep up with competitors and profit more from plan

May have something to do with taxes and maybe more effective use of public funds? Germans are taxed at higher rates (and more importantly, lower thresholds for higher rates) compared to the US or UK, so the distribution seems more even, all

It gives that children have nothing to do with the current economy. Education effects on the economy are only seen every 20-30 years? When they become adults. Right now, it doesn't look good.

Relax, it's better if everyone thinks Krakow (and Poland) is a "third world shithole". Nobody's worried about it until it's too late :D

Unless you're an idiot and outsourcing critical operations to India or China, it's more like ~4 for 1. Third world countries are developing, you should keep up with that.

I'm not defending anything, it's just extremely hypocritical to accuse India's system of being dystopian while currently existing systems in "developed" nations are even worse.

The fact is that having an SSN and the person's name can be enough to literally take his identity and do whatever you want. Or literally get a birth certificate and become a "US citizen". It's a bit more complicated, but
