This kind of reminds me of how some of these companies disable the scanner portion of "All-in-One" type printers if the printer portion is out of ink.

i've found that pv is useful for this purpose. however i've never been quite clear on what the best way to use bs with pv is. is it dd if=/dev/sda bs=1M | pv > sda.file or is this better dd if=/dev

I find openWRT is a really useful firmware project and I use it in any situation where it is feasible. Bandwidth Throttling / QOS is often in demand. Wireless Bridging works well. A nice side effect of using openWRT is that you sideste
