It’s reasonable because that how land ownership works. It appears that perhaps you are not in favor of the principals that come along with land ownership, like zoning. Put yourself in the position of a landowner. You buy a house (the larges

It’s all relative. You own a cheaper house now so if prices went down your absolute loss in selling would be less than someone who sells a house that’s worth let’s say 10x more than yours, maybe the next house you want to buy. Also, not eve

We all need shelter - I cannot argue with that. However, we all don’t need shelter in the Bay Area. There is a great sense of entitlement in thinking that anyone should be able to move to any city they so choose and live comfortably. Pick a

Don’t confuse yourself - YOU don’t see it as an unjust assault, not “people.” The 64% of Americans who do own a home would say otherwise. Also, houses are not like stock, nobody lives in stock.

I was referring to both because EPS is wrapped up into P/E... P/E = stock price / (earnings / # of shares oustanding) And it actually does matter because a company can steadily grow EPS while not growing revenue meaning

It's also very common now for companies to buy back a ton of stock thus lowering the share denominator in the earnings portion of the ratio, while not actually growing revenue much if at all.

P/E is without a doubt meaningful, and looking at it in the context of growth i.e. PEG, makes it even more meaningful. Amazon is selling at an objectively absurd PEG ratio of 5. Anything over 2 is fundamentally considered overvalued by

I think that your thinking is too shortsighted. Autonomous driving, if it's going to be as rosy as you and I both think, is going to be what kills much of the auto insurance industry. What we have now are more serious and more frequent

It's still an absurd comparison. I'd venture to guess that the average combine is driven in a straight line at a set speed at least 95% of the time it's being used.

Are you comparing a semi truck driven at 70 mph in between two lanes of traffic to a piece of farm equipment that maxes out at 15mph and is typically driven without another vehicle in sight?
