This seems really neat .. I have met a few folks who don't share my enthusiasm for MOAI recently, on the basis of not being able to use much Python (I'm a huge MOAI fan and love Lua) so now there is a great option.

I make my own modular synthesizers, for fun and creativity. For me, 3D printing represents a chance to build a synth panel of my absolute dreams. Not just knobs, but levers, dials, and so on. The recent revelation that Teenage Engineering

Your last point is really spot on .. and I gauge the answer, personally, with one question: do I have a desire to buy a new Apple product? Well, I already upgraded to iPhone5. I'm really not terribly interested in upgrading my aging Macb

No, really, I'm not being snide. I honestly believe that Rust is of great interest, as is the effort and front of new language exploration. However, there is an intrinsic quality of language: it is infinitely useful, or not useful, depend

I'm a C die-hard as well. Tell you what I'm doing lately, that makes me less and less interested in the new-school elite, and just generally enjoying a language 'enigma' moment: putting Lua in everything. That is, I mean to say, Rust is nea

Raspberry Pi is just the new, "hipster", eval board. There have been cheap, affordable, fun eval boards like the Rpi out there for years. Gumstix, Beagle, and so on. Prices are coming down, sure, but don't kid yourself that the RaspberryP

I have two Open Pandoras that say you Just Need To Wait A Little More (tm). ;) And yeah, seems like every few years we get more and more college grads who seem to be surprised that there is, in fact, a lot of very cheap hardware out there t

I think the Raspberry Pi would be more interesting if it were to ship with LuaOS or some such similar thing. The incompleteness of it as a Linux workstation just doesn't differentiate it well enough from the Pandora, or Beagle, or PandaBoa

Seems to me the answer lays in having the compiler more tightly bound with the nature of the OS - such that, for example, adjustable stack sizes and generalized metrics about application performance, can be used to make apps fill the cache-

I really like the idea of multirotors taking off, literally, to be part of a delivery team. Incidentally, I'd really like to be able to use those rotors to recycle things - literally to shred, perhaps, my plastic trash - such that the remai
