The picture of the UI looks a lot like a tablet OS, window resize buttons missing as well make me... nervous that this might be an attempt at making a walled garden OS like RT was

Research labs attempt artifical evolution of viruses and bacteria under extremely controlled situations in order to attempt to find cures preemptively. They also identify symptoms and severity before natural evolution has a chance outside t

This article attempts and fails to keep a neutral point of view on this theory. Instead, it heavily implies that a wuhan lab leak is the most likely source, citing Occam's razor as a rationale. Just because we haven't identified w

One of the complaints brought up - the 16 bit group/uid seems to have been fixed quite nicely in modern linux systems by adding an additional 16 bit s to each. It seems these problems aren't "unfixable" after all

Would be nice to be able to tag vote to be able to fix something like this

Why does this 30ish minute video have 10 ad slots? As cool as this is that he got this working, from my android phone I can't watch this without losing track of what he's saying. (I know there are ways to block ads, but that'

The cartridge port on the N64 exposes a 32 bit address bus, Theoretically there's nothing stopping someone from cramming a gig of SRAM inside a cartridge to increase the memory from 8mb. It's directly addressable by the cpu, even

I've always been fascinated by mechanical television. I wonder if it would be possible for amateur radio operations on ssb for a psuedo-fast scan television

If you're using an n64 controller, you might want to consider using a gamecube one instead (it uses the same control logic, it just adds a 5v line for rumble features) Unless you're particularly fond of the N64's controller d

Probably, this may be the biggest argument for telecommuting. Less driving > less greenhouse emissions. There was also a huge hit to the produce and livestock industries as restaurants closed which may play a part as well

Taco smith would be an interesting restaurant, maybe using an anvil as a logo instead of a bell

I have a small RGB to YPbPr adapter that I use for my old TV which had a alarmingly bright high intensity blue LED on it for seemingly no reason (it's just a few op amps and resistors in an enclosure). I opened it up and removed the of

The argument was a silly one - the z80 doesn't have a lot of transistors and post apocalypse we could theoretically make them again faster than modern computers. Also this project isn't terribly ambitious in what it considers a us

It seems like this uses the free iOS developer license to install a few apps temporarily on your phone. I can't see this gaining much traction with the 7 day refresher periods though

Thinking too much into it, but slices are (roughly) the same size across the board, you could use a weight sensor and calibrate it against a single slice so it knows pizza percentage that way (this also prevents the need for having a consta

The key to making programs fast is to make them do practically nothing. This is the Ultimate Truth of optimizing computer programs, and it seems so few people understand it. "Why can't you make Python faster!?" Because Pyt
