Regarding points 1 and 2, I find it amazing how prevalent these issues are, yet any gamer will say "doesn't happen to me." I really don't understand how one can blatantly ignore such poor performance.

Nice job, same boat as me. I'm excited to see Google's write-up of D. Good luck in Round 1!

To all saying "Ugh no time!" At this point, there are still 7 and a half hours remaining. You can easily qualify (20 points) in under an hour. That being said, #4 is the only one that tripped me up - I'm think the solution is very simple an

Zed was right to an extent. I feel if you take the Python and Ruby communities and split them into two groups (superstars and people who think they're superstars), you'll find that Ruby superstars are quite... eccentric while Python superst

I love music programming, my first open source projects, Melopy [1] tried to accomplish this in a really approachable way. Unfortunately I'm still new to the open-source world and I don't know nearly enough about music ;) [1] http://github

Fun, but a little too tough to navigate for my liking. A SSH session would be a lot cooler than interacting with my web browser. Not sure how feasible this is.

Looking for some HN insight here. I'm still a college student interested in startups. However, microsoft products really don't excite me. Can someone explain the benefits of C# to a Ruby on Rails coder?

I interned for an advertising aggregate - Evidon - and one of their projects is to monitor TOS for various advertising companies and show a diff. I wish it would catch on for everyone.
