Paul claims to have met Christ on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:3-6) [1] and claims apostolic authority because of it (Acts 15:3-8) [2]. Furthermore, other apostles agreed that he had, or at least that he had the correct message (Gal 2:6-10)

Probably more like doing what you're better at. Maybe one had the idea and the original vision, so they became CEO by default, whereas they might actually better at developing the product and should do the CTO role instead. But since i

This reminds me of an old gamedev story that I have no idea how to find. The project was getting near to shipping, they had cut all the space they could cut, but they still needed another megabyte of space. After a week of this, the senior

PulseAudio was the last straw that pushed me to get a Mac. When I switched to Ubuntu, wifi worked, sleep (and more to the point, wake) on my T42 worked, and audio worked. Each release after that something would break, and but you couldn

Only if the events of the plot, or unrevealed information are critical to the story. Some stories tell you what's going to happen early on. You know Oedipus is going to kill his father and marry his mother, the story is about how event

IBM Watson, Google, Azure, and AWS all have speech-to-text APIs. IBM's claims to distinguish between different voices, although when I used it a couple of years ago for Japanese it was a little lackluster. It's pretty inexpensive:

For quite a while, thanks to the One Child Policy. The birth rate has about about 1.6 babies/woman since about 1990. It's been creeping up, but the current generation got used to the idea of one child per family. In addition, livi

My experience (as a user) is that GTK on macOS is functional at best, and I find it an unpleasant experience, so macOS is definitely not ideal for that. No experience with Rust, but it isn't the path the tools expect, for sure. I'
