How are these worth $100k? I assume non-failed companies are selling as well. And I guess there’s lots of irc scraping going on.

Sadly, SSGs can’t make money. Nor should they, because they are simple and sort of the whole point is to be simple and not require complicated resources to build or host. I wish them the best.

Why not just ask your agent to check in before every change? And then squish before you push or share. Works great for me and easier than convincing coworker to switch off git.

This has been the case since early March, right? I bought a base mini on march 3rd and it took 4 weeks to arrive. My friend tried to buy one last week and had a may delivery date. It would be interesting to see if this is getting worse or b

Do you not use git branches? Your use case was why git was made.

I thought git didn’t allow companies to use git in their name any more and grandfathered in girhub, gitlab, etc. How did this company get a trademark. Also, I don’t think I would use this and the problems they describe aren’t really things

I read the anarchist cookbook 40 years ago that had similar info. I think the info has been available for many years and the thing stopping terrorists wasn’t info. Good luck on being on the list of people using chatgpt and claude to make ne

I bought it a few years ago before the new book deal and the name is Marion Wheeler. I believe it was self published back then. Although it’s a beautiful hard cover that was only like $14 on amazon. I found it funny that it’s one of my favo

Check out the screen time log for fresh parents. I remember the first few months being so crazy. Feedings every two hours, and each feeding took an hour. But still time for naps, short walks, etc. part of the survival was to work in little

It’s both. There was only one bed on the plane. Were it me, I would give up my spot as it’s just weird to ask a coworker to sleep in the same bed.

Or, hopefully, not signing such agreements and accepting such payments. Disclosing illegal activities cannot be silenced by these agreements.

I read the book. Lots of unethical stuff, not so much illegal. There’s no revelation or new info publicly released. If it was illegal, I’d expect prosecution in the past 10 years. Lots of things I’d like to be illegal. Or I wished were ille

In this case the author is an attorney, so can presumably understand a contract she signed. And the non-disparagement wasnt in her hire agreement, it was in her severance agreement, in exchange for a negotiated amount of money. Author was w

In the US, a contract can’t supersede laws like those that protect whistleblowers. (I think this is part of how Harvey Weinstein was prosecuted because his NDAs were found invalid) The author didnt disclose any illegal activities in her boo

In the US, a contract is considered law. It’s just only between the parties.

I mean it is currently legal in most countries to do that. Read about record contracts. Prince spoke extensively about his restrictive contracts.

She didn’t have to agree to the contract. I don’t really want some arbitrary govt limit restricting what private parties can do with each other.

I dont think the severance value was disclosed. It could be $10M. She was a senior exec for years and hasnt had to work since leaving Facebook. I mean even for small amounts like $100k, I’d likely sign non disparagement agreements. Early in

I think that was more about trying, in a dumb way, to make the pregnant woman not work all night than sexual harassment. The author was 8 months pregnant and was going to stay up for 12 hours doing stuff. This seemed more like a commanding

I don’t think the book revealed anything new about FB’s bad deeds, though. Was there novel info? I think its just more exposure for already bad things. Had she had a trove of emails or something, I might thing differently. This is quite dif

Not really. Author could have whistleblown and quit early on revealing unsavory things. The book is mainly attempts to embarass Zuck (eg, he’s sweaty, he’s not good at Catan, etc).

I think the author was complicit and only complained once FB stopped paying her. It was weird how the author claimed not to know how facebook targeted ads worked until 2016/2017 after she had made millions.
