The emacs startup hack is in it's use of a glibc function called "unexec", which essentially serializes the program's state into a single binary which can later be executed normally. One of the big downsides (and the rea

That's not correct - while any HTTP/2 capable servers along the path may implement server push, the most important one is the closest server to the user (i.e. the CDN). The only requirement is that the intermediate servers must

All FUD aside, "developers looking for an alternative to the new MBP" is a pretty decent market to capture. I have no doubt that Microsoft are directing their efforts to try and take advantage of them.

I don't see many usecases for that - besides the cable length problem mentioned in the article, it would have the effect of reducing choice for the consumer. I could perhaps see displays including a very basic GPU and advertising it as

Load balancers are particularly useful when it comes to cloud applications because they let you keep your routing logic server-side, meaning that you can make adjustments quickly without needing to release a new client version. Your load ba

The issue that I have with the newly imagined Docker Swarm is that it continues Docker's trend of trying to be a jack of all trades. I have no specific examples for Docker Swarm, but using this approach in other areas has led to some p
