Fails when Ad Block Plus is running. Don't have time to figure out which bit Ad Block is blocking though I'm afraid.

Indeed. Though I was mostly surprised to see them at all, they were all been for a forum I thought I'd closed down years ago but had apparently been collecting spam for quite a while. And they were spam, certainly. If I'd been mon

When I started getting emails from companies asking for the spam-links from my sites to be removed I assumed it was a good sign. If they're cleaning up their spam-links then presumably Google have found a way to make those spam-links

Watched it last week, squeeling with delight. Thought it was awesome, really captured the feel of the original. I was only disappointed when, 7 days later, there wasn't a new episode. Anyone know what release frequency they're aim

But not all CC licenses are the same. Anything with NC isn't usable on a site with adverts. So it'd be nice to have some checkboxes for the Creative Commons license types. Include/exclude Commercial, Derivatives, Attribution.

Sole? > "We will continue to write documentation for other languages" I think you mean 'primary'. Everyone who loves C or Python or whatever will continue to be able to use C or Python or whatever.

It's not hard, probably the image hosts concerned merely didn't think to include it. You can upload svg files with the right content type to Amazon S3 without trouble, is that not good enough?

Hummm. I've found that same-origin policy annoying on occasion but always assumed it was there for good reason and that it was important my browser couldn't just open sockets to any old machine. Was I wrong? Was that not important? Did I go

Isn't the browser supposed to stop pages from making connections to machines other than the server they were downloaded from? Has that requirement been dropped? Or does this do something strange to get around it?

Surely the recipient is copying the data from their network router onto their own computer, and likely from there to their hard-drive. They have copied the data.

That's pretty nice, I like it. The syllable counter throws an error when you type a line with the word "Watch" in it though. I have some lyrics I need to write at some point soon, bookmarked for when I have time to actually do that.

I wonder how much serving size would even matter? I'm told the damage comes after the drink really, when your teeth sit around covered in it. I'm sure it'd make some difference, it takes longer to drink a pint than a shot there'll be a bi

Facebook certainly does pull any pages you link to, it scans 'em for images and puts those images into the message too along with a title and excerpt. This is occasionally annoying but makes messages prettier.

Yes, course I still wanna be coding when I'm fifty in a decade's time. If I was rich enough to not need a job I'd be hacking on my homepage. I just hope my wrists hold out that long.

I think that's probably true as it goes, even though adverts above the text are more easily ignored than adverts within the text. Funny old world.

What I don't really understand is how pagination gives more ad impressions in a way that simply adding more adverts into the text in a long page doesn't. If the goal is more ads, why not just put more ads on longer pages?

I built an AWS image for launching a bunch of machines and using them as a Blender Render farm. It'd need work to make it secure enough for public use, and I have too many other things on to get around to that. It does what I need though, a

Yeah, that would be the difficulty. If I get time (have to concentrate mostly on job-hunting for now) I was thinking of doing a "auto-post-to-twitter" to try and pull people outside the conversation in.

Game projects come in many years late and millions over budget all the time. I ain't been in the industry for more than a decade but more games I watched being developed failed to get finished than actually shipped. I doubt it's changed muc

Blender's startup speed astounds me when compared to just about everything else I use. It starts faster than Vim half the time!
