I think changing location does have a huge effect. Personally when I go to LA or SF (from Texas) I get sick 100% of the time, without fail.

Forums can have amazing longevity. In the past 10 years I’ve seen communities on social media go completely extinct multiple times (rip Tumblr) and yet I’m still regularly using a forum I’ve posted on for 21 years. They don’t have good grow

The Plague Dogs is so unrelentingly bleak, few films have the spine to just be utterly hopeless. It's like a "children's" version of something like Threads or The Lighthouse lol

This happened to me, somehow lightning caused some kind of surge in my Ethernet network and killed ports on 3 of my computers. Turns out cheap switches aren’t grounded, you have to manually put a wire on a screw. Sucks!

No, the M1 Max beats the same processor in the article (i7-1280P) in Cinebench multicore: ~12365 to 11480. That is a 10 core M1 Max vs the 14 core i7. Your "fair fight" is just moving the goal posts to some other random non-specif

The focus on node size conveniently elides that this is a comparison between a 14 core CPU and an 8 core CPU.

Starship Titanic was creative and humorous. The character personalities were very detailed and interesting too, that stands out the most to me. They all had depth despite being machines. The crew is usually unhelpful and sarcastic and somet

They’re burying the lede on this story. This guy runs an OnlyFans where he gets paid to dominate other men. He psychologically wants to be taller because he doesn’t feel like his (completely unremarkable) height is appropriately dominating.

I guess the point is it's painting with a wide brush. Not every company needs a charlatan sociopath at the head. The CEO of a lawn care service is probably living a pretty mundane life.

I mean they could just keep it in existence forever by issuing new debt, apparently. Everyone is excited about Disney 'beating' the Florida government but: is having some weird corporate carve-out of US territory that essentially

Not really the topic but the area around the Salton Sea is one of the wildest things I’ve ever seen. It literally looks like an apocalyptic wasteland. There’s ruined, half buried buildings near the shores. Tons of abandoned structures. Also

There were even hijacked AOL keywords with warez. The internal site builder had a simplistic BBS forum type thing, I remember one of those being used to link files. Very convenient!
