The questions are always: is it better than what we had before? Are the "problems" common to other tools? Are there better alternatives? This article doesn't address any of these. > I heard a story once of an engineer run

I assume "free email" refers to Outlook.com email service. It contains ads and probably some level of data sharing. However this article is mostly about the Outlook desktop email client -- in theory you could use this email client

Suppose this is the way we want to go (many people probably won't agree for good reasons), Google is not going to put in the effort to identify reputable publishers. Honestly I am a bit surprised that Google Books is still around -- do

Xiaomi didn't try to "reinvent" the car by spending a few years trying many stupid designs that look nothing like a conventional car, as in previous reports. They wanted to make a car that has their design and has their logo

I mean, even if I live in Manhattan, I can easily take a subway train to an area with a different zip code and mail it there. And that's almost the easiest thing you could do -- if you want to hide where the mail is from, it is trivial

60fps is not a high bar. A timer that gets updated every 10 millisecond (or in truth whatever the next event loop interval) is commonly used as tutorial, and there is no reason such a widget does not have a high refresh rate. The point of t

I think the previous comment discusses events in a general sense. Frameworks batch changes so that updates are efficient, and in many cases figures out the "correct" order of doing things. If you do all of those yourself in a larg

There is no money there. Advertisements won't be shown next to those posts. Or at least non-adult brands -- Apple, Microsoft, BMW etc won't want to have their ads shown next to NSFW content (if they are still doing business there)

This kind of comment had become a joke these days, especially when you say that under a project written in C. Nobody is going to even think about that until Rust has as good portability as C.

Sorry to disappoint you, half of the things in the JS world are half baked, broken, and are fake bridges. That's why I need to mention experience -- it is hard to explain all of this within a few sentences if you don't already hav

I don't know how much experience you have, but in the JS world there are band-aids everywhere. They "fix" a lot of real-world problems, help push things to production, and are more important than you think. Just look at the t
