I’m busy with a math course that will get me up to speed with pre-university math (I never took math seriously in high school). This is because I want to go back to university this year after working full-time for 2 years! Right now I’m stu

It’s definitely possible that there is a bias; users that have perfectly working VanMoofs don’t complain on the forums and just ride their bikes.

This brand is known for bikes that break very quickly. The bikes are good, but don’t last. They are very expensive and the replacement parts are too. The VanMoof or Tweakers forums are filled with users talking about the repairs the did thi

A perfect menu already exists for this. If you click the “Aa <puzzle piece” button, a bunch of website-specific settings pop up. “Search on Page” or “Install on Homescreen” would fit in perfectly here. Maybe under “Translate Page”.

This is a very unique take. Why do you think that this sort of thing is bad for Mozilla’s reputation? This makes me just like them more. Giving the user free reign over their phone is the one thing that Android does right. I can also pirat

Sorry bro, that iGPU is not able to run anything on it, either because of the limitations of the OS or the limitations of the architecture. It’s just marketing.

It’s okay to disagree with others in the thread, but there is no need to be insulting about it and accusing people of not having basic reading comprehension. You might have been serious or not when writing that, but framing your comment in

I use Karabiner to map CAPS to ESC on single tap, but it's mapped to CTRL when I hold it. It's really great to have a CTRL button on the home row.

No need to make things personal. Personally, I’d agree with your example. But does this apply to all other situations? Often documentation comments can be very useful

I am exactly in the situation you are describing. I've always enjoyed math but never took it seriously, and now I regret it. Just cruised through college because no advanced math was ever required. So I'm taking a math course in t

Great article! Something I was wondering about when reading this is how these lessons could apply to software that depends on its userbase. As an example, let’s use Discord; what if in 10 years the Discord codebase is seen as obsolete and r

Yes, but now that I look at it, it seems like Apple’s old school widget all got removed in favor of the new ones. For example, I can’t see the “old school” battery widget!

Oh okay I didn’t realize we were talking about the actual application code being stored in local data. I thought they meant stuff like user data or application state, which is often handled by the back-end instead of client-side. Makes sens

Do you really believe most apps rely on local storage? What if I remove the app from my phone and reinstall it later? All my data is gone? I am pretty sure most apps use AT LEAST iCloud to store data

What if you store the data in a back-end, just like native mobile apps?
