With a caching plugin like W3 Total Cache you should not be hitting the database very often. I take this a step further and cache the entire site (not just resources) on CloudFront.

One thing that definitely can be improved is using "Controller As" syntax. It solves most of the $scope issues. Here's a good writeup: http://toddmotto.com/digging-into-angulars-controller-as-syn...

That's because it checks every file that has /* @flow */. I'm guessing you're not running it on a specific file but instead on all files in the current dir and sub directories.

Looks like a great tool. The documentation at http://flowtype.org/ is excellent. Should be easy to add it to a Gulp/Grunt workflow.

To be fair, unlike google they are not cancelling any services. I think Amazon first builds these services for internal use, and then releases them to the public.

There is no need to litter your HTML with non semantic div tags that just represent rows and columns. I'm a big fan of using a framework like Susy (there are others as well) that just lets you assign the number of columns an element sp

Writing is like any other skill. The more you practice the better you'll get. Keep writing, don't let some of the negative comments discourage you.

For a solution for older browsers you can use fastclick.js ( https://github.com/ftlabs/fastclick ). For angularjs webapps there's also ngTouch.

The NSA must have somebody working on the inside at google. Otherwise it would be extremely difficult to reverse engineer the RPC protocol that was used by google's servers to communicate between each other. Even on an unencrypted net

The website is very simple. Which means that it would not be a big deal to throw some media queries in and make it mobile friendly. This is 2013, I don't understand why rwd is still not applied everywhere.

I do think LinkedIn has ill intentions. In my opinion, their intentions are to collect, analyze, and ultimately profit from their user's email data. All under the guise of offering some marginal benefit.

This is essentially a mitm attack. I am amazed that a company the size of LinkedIn would think that this is in any way appropriate. These are the tricks of spammers and cyber criminals. This is what LinkedIn has become. Will customers be ex

Another vote for Susy. It is ridiculously easy to create a responsive grid using their sass mixins. Susy should not be compared to Bootstrap/Foundation since it is just a small grid system and not a full blown framework. It can be comp

Thank you for posting. I think you will inspire a lot of younger devs to seek more meaningful employment than working for big corp. However I fear that you will lose your job over this post.
