You can create a role with certain permissions in your account. You can then configure this role to only be assumed by another user in another specific AWS account. This is how you can share resources between different AWS accounts.

I use a domain driven design (ddd) approach with terraform where different business domains and subdomains are isolated by modules. For example, if an application handles photo uploads and image processing, that would be in its own module.

I'm curious how this is different from Turbolinks, which was been available since rails 3.

Yes they mention in the paper mental and physical improvements. In addition, the mental component continuous summary score was significantly higher in the HIIT group compared with control group (P=0.04) and MICT group (P=0.04) after five y

It is because there are many ways to configure AWS. Should the tutorial use aws cli, cloudformation, terraform, cdk, sam? The Management Console tutorials get you familiar with the concepts quickly, but it is up to the developer use that kn

That cannot be true or maybe you have a grandfathered account, as paypal absolutely does not refund the percentage fee. Same with Stripe.

It took me half an hour and a 30-line (with spaces) terraform file to get a Lightsail instance up with static ip, running wordpress.

I thought this only applies to their free accounts, and that they have no issues with serving any size files as long as you pay them.

I played around with mux and it was a pleasure to use. However I needed to implement a PPV type experience and unfortunately mux did not have any way to restrict or revoke access to content on a per viewer basis. One of my requirements was

You can input an HLS stream and output whatever you want as a single file with ffmpeg or even vlc.

You can use HLS with the described CDN, since it's just http.

You can also use ffmpeg to do this, but figuring out the correct command line options is not easy.

So regular cookie session based auth? There are drawbacks such as managing session state on the server, and increased latency and cpu load, since you now have to have a db call on every action.

That is true but it will not protect against all forms of CSRF, for example you'll be vulnerable if you have user generated content that's not sanitized properly. On the refresh_token cookie I have sameSite and httpOnly set.

But why not use it? It's more secure and easier to use because you don't have to generate a salt.

I'm currently implementing auth with JWTs. I've settled on shortlived access tokens and long lived refresh tokens. The refresh tokens get validated against a blacklist. This way you get the best of both worlds, you minimize db acc

The prices for AWS products only tell a small part of the story. The real costs are in outgoing bandwidth. Take the encoding example above, you might pay a competitive price for the compute time required to encode, but you'll be paying

I think what is being mentioned is that Stripe started keeping the original transaction fees on refunds. In my opinion this is borderline fraudulent since visa/mc/amex do not keep these charges and refund them back to Stripe.
