I’ve been remote for 12 years. I am an extrovert. I have always missed the office a bit, but never enough to seriously consider going back to in person. I would absolutely go back for the right opportunity. Maybe I’ve missed some great oppo

Can confirm. I live in Atlanta and am about to write letters like the one from the article to the owners of a couple dozen properties in my neighborhood that I’ve identified as suitable for my family. Just as discussed, I’m not planning to

I came here to say exactly this. I have a Twitter account, but I stay logged out and let their door slamming act dissuade me from scrolling. I can read the one linked Tweet from some article or post and then return to my life. It’s blissful

This happened in Atlanta (technically Brookhaven). The police were looking for the source of gunfire reported at the 3600 block of Buford Highway [0] and the 911 call related to the shooting came from the 3100 block of Clairmont Rd. There a

I was going to reply that this sort of thing isn't all that uncommon here in Atlanta. Then I clicked the link and saw this this happened in Brookhaven, which is formerly a neighborhood of Atlanta proper. <sigh>

The same guidelines that you linked also say: > Please don't post insinuations about astroturfing, shilling, brigading, foreign agents and the like. It degrades discussion and is usually mistaken. If you're worried about abuse,

People will do what is economical for them personally. Effectively no one would pull carbon from the ground if they could get cheaper energy from somewhere else. The answer is to develop the technology to produce that energy and give it aw

1000x this. For several years I've been eyeing the 49" ultrawides as a replacement for my current 34" ultrawide. It would definitely be a big upgrade, but I keep thinking that something high DPI must be around the corner in t

I love it. The tech exists. My neighbor works for a company that does encoding of data on packaging. Goal is that every cereal box on the grocery aisle can be individually tracked.

Latitude matters! I grew up outside of Atlanta, which is 33N and similar to Tel Aviv at 32N. My dad's Irish skin probably faired much worse here than it would have at 53N (Ireland, Berlin). I don't burn too easily in the sun here
