With one major difference. We know that fusion in some form is possible (for example, in the sun, or in a hydrogen-bomb). The difficulty is doing it at a reasonable scale. It's less clear that quantum computing is possible.

This isn't a "billion-dollar business"; it's an overhyped company that gives credit cards to startups that raised money at a billion-dollar valuation. They may have already reached their entire market for their existing

If Bitcoin Gold weren't worthless before, it is now. If it weren't so difficult and risky to sell this, it would be worth almost nothing already.

"Cryptocurrency is slower than card networks." - not really, on a per-transaction basis. If you buy something at a store with a credit card, it takes weeks to get the money. With Bitcoin, you can spend the money in an hour. For

"But even software ARX gets into trouble when protection against power or electromagnetic analysis is a threat." - I still don't get this. If attackers have physical access to your machine, you should consider it compromised

The author doth protest too much. Craig Wright is not Satoshi. He could have proved it a dozen ways, and has not done so. I neither know nor care if the rest of his resume is fabricated.

There’s a terrible trend in the San Francisco tech scene where “engineer” is viewed as a synonym for “software engineer”, which is itself a synonym for “programming”. It isn’t. That said, I tend to disagree with people who believe the solut

If this project makes financial sense, ideally an existing railroad company would run it. Berkshire Hathaway (as the owners of the BNSF railroad) is the only US-based company that has the capital and railroad experience to even consider it.
