Yep. Your writing makes me miss the morning coffee. I used to have a lot intereting talks beside the coffee machine. Coffee was better. Now I have to drink cheap instant coffee alone.

I read Hacker News and Reddit, or read tech docs, or write some code, or talk with friends. Then I quit. I am making a Reddit for China now. I want to help all those boring souls like the old me :). It is truly depressing. I would never go

Coming out of one of those 996 companies, I would say that most of my working time are wasted. I would do almost nothing in the moring. I did most of my work in the afternoon. In the evening I just pretended to be working. Forcing a real 7.

This. Even though I know that working all night till 6 am is wrong, I still do this now and then, because work is sometimes addicting. I need such message from real genius to help me control myself.

This! I launch my MVP last month. I can't agree more with you. 1. Tech debts. The coder inside my just to write better code. And writing better code is satisfying. 2. After launch, I become more of a marketer than an engineer. Being a

This. I failed my first startup. Then I worked for a year. Quit. Now I am poor and working on my second startup. Never want to go back.

Yes it is easier. Some setbacks may hurt my confidence in my first startup journey. Now I would just drink a cup of coffee and keep working.

I used to be one of them. I got money, but failed. The process and failure took me hard, both mentally and bodily. Before my startup, I read a lot about startup. I knew that it would be hard. But knowing is so different from experiencing. O

Interesting point, I am making a reddit clone in China. My MVP would like the very first verion of Reddit: only link sharing, no self-post or comment. Fundamentally Reddit is not a link aggregator but a content aggregator. Link is one way t

Michael Seibel said something like this: if you success, you would be like the top 1 percent among your peers. You should be cautious about asking average people's opinion about your startup, because average means failure in startup wo

Great great job! This project reminds me why I could never become an independent developer. Luckily I give up on becoming one 2 months ago.

My dumb method: Physical separation. I live in my parents home, which is at third floor. I work at their garage, which is not a garage for car, but for bikes. It is at first floor. When I work, I put my phones at home. When I need to sleep,

My two cents. The first time I read this post was two years ago. I was working a problem: how to practice Japanese. I had users and revenue, but no growth. Simple maths told me my product would never grow as a startup, and I had no way out
