How serious is that certification? Is it a bureaucracy certification with some vintage requirements or is it something that keeps adapting to the changes in the technology environment?

I agree with the gem list. I think it should have been #1. Using OpenStruct as a replacement for a user doesn't remove the conditionnal, it just removes it from that use case. You still need to know if the user is logged in or not.

Atom cannot replace vim because you can have the very same vim setup on your desktop AND your server. You would need a GUI on your server to share that portability. Now, this may not be an answer to the article but it's the reality

Maintenance is a non-trivial cost. And more property you own, more people you need to maintain your property. There's no silver lining in property.

There's something I really don't understand about all this uproar. TDD is build test first, write software later. So people against TDD aren't against test units. They are against testing FIRST, writing software LATER. We all

One thing I want to add about TDD that always made it impossible for me to build is how pointless (to me) it is to do TDD in the functional/integration areas. I tweak shit loads of forms, but as soon as a form get a little bit complex,

These kind of things seem to happen often. I know helium is very hard to keep in containment due to it's atom size. Nonetheless, I wonder if there's technologies being developed right now that could fix that once and for all.

I really wanted to avoid going in a discussion between gems trying to replace FormBuilder but I feel there needs to be some clarification. I have used simple_form, and I have used many different gems in the past. Simply saying that usin

Having Business Insider as an example in support of articles written with analytic is ironic. BI is full of cheap articles that tries to bait you to read articles with pretty much no content in it.

In the context of your example, your implementation is the best, hands down. My fork had two objectives. The first was to nail the argument of "What do I do if my model has 1.2k LOC". Look at it as an extension of your solution. T

Just food for thoughts, I forked DHH's implementation and modified it to support a bigger structure (so you can keep stuff in different files/class). I haven't tested the file so it may contains bugs, I apologize if it does.
