Nah, the "partial" implementations are all highly compatible with the current spec (which chrome implements), and it's not much more polyfill to achieve solid cross-browser compat.

Thanks! I added a bookmarklet of the original code to the site- I know you're legit, but I'm always wary of encouraging people to load random external JS via a bookmarklet.

The distinguishing factor in this era of the Web is that now acquisitions are treated with dismay rather than celebration. Web 3.0 is much more cynical toward the big corporations (and in my opinion, rightly so).

Hello- Mozilla employee here, though not a Firefox developer. The good news is it's easy to change how we apply updates from completely silent to "download and choose" to "only check when I tell you". The bad news is, unlike many situations

My advice? Take the layers of middle managers who have been there for years, give them their gumball machines or espresso makers, offer to buy out a percentage of their long-underwater options, and make them promise to go work somewhere els

If the only factor in your market's efficiency is price charged, then this is true. The real market has other factors like satisfaction/willingness to repeat a transaction (for both sides of the party), opportunities for disruption of your

I wish people who have written HTML for years would play around with this if for no other reason then to learn what all the new semantics of HTML5 are.

IMO, LESS's strength is that its implementation is JavaScript. Allowing for real-time compilation during authoring in-browser is great, and coupled with uglifyjs and cleancss (also js) allows for a single dependency during our build stage.

"Modern Web Development" does not mean "Works in Webkit", and it does a disservice to future/novice developers to reinforce that notion. What's dominant now was not in the not-too-distant past, and may not be in the not-too-distant future.

The open governance of the Mozilla project is not subject to the sort of back-room dealings you imply. (Disclosure: I work for Mozilla, but have no knowledge of the inner-workings of the new deal.)
