At my $BIGCORP, we have a multi-mode (discrete/continuous) simulation engine written in Rust. It has to be extremely fast, and interface with both firmware written in C, and scripts written in Python. C++ was the only other viable opti

This is already the case. CSS1 (NA) is incompatible with CCS2 (Europe). NA is just swapping out CCS1 for the Tesla physical plug. China also has its own standard. I don't see it as a huge issue. Cars are infrequently moved between cont

While I do agree the conditions described on that article are deplorable, I think the same kind of conditions would apply (if not worse) if prostitution was criminalized. Making it illegal won't stop it from happening.

Embarrisngly, I'm using both for docs at work (they were both projects I started). Mkdocs is more flexible, has more themes, better ecosystem. Mdbook has better defaults, easier deployment, is more standard across rust projects

Most running clubs I've tried are 50/50. Dance classes/social dancing are usually female-heavy (The SF bay is probably an exception here). No one minds if you're bad at dancing as long as you are friendly and don't

Sorry, poor choice of words. They are the same thing (uploading/sharing). Sharing/uploading is a setting in the UI. I don't have a screenshot handy but you can see the details on https://www.tesla.com/about&#x

Age doesn't really matter in this case. This is laziness on Toyotas part by not authenticating the messages between the "Smart Key" ECU and the main engine control microcontroller.

I worked out of a co-working space, have social hobbies (dancing). The co-working space was a big help for breaking up the work day.

The other thing to consider is _when_ the 40,000 price was announced. The model 3 was originally promised to be 35k, and thats roughly held true _if_ you account for inflation. Should Musk account for inflation when making announcements? We

I complained to one of my local NZ MPs about how the anti-spam legislation was ineffective since it's ambiguous. I got a polite response detailing how legislation is usually crafted that way and then left to the courts to decide what c
