The UK got the .gb domain because it's the correct country code. The .uk domain came about because it was in use on the Janet academic network, shortly before all the networks were smooshed together to make the internet. It was probabl

No subinterpreters in 3.11 ? If we had those, all this async idiocy would go away, no more code colours, no more single-core, even better isolation and protection against context-switching tangles. (the implementation not so nice though. Py

The last 64 bits are derived from the MAC of the interface, which is quite a good idea (we probably won't see MAC exhausion because it's only two-level, and it's supposedly guaranteed unique). The stupidity lies eleswhere. (S

> We don't know what qualia are Actually, no. This is the one part of the problem we are clear on. Since this is an adequate excuse to give a lecture, here we go: Suppose I say "I am fat", and suppose you say of me "

We can go back to saying "geometrically", which was the previous term for multiplicative increase. It even has the advantage of being confusing when misused.

There's no such thing as "AGI for the sake of AGI itself". AGI is synthetic and its goals are synthetic, it doesn't want anything that you didn't tell/construct it to want.
