I'm not clear on what you're referring to. What's the organization and what's the relevance of them being local news?

The bill is already law. I don't think it's virtue signaling, I think it's trying to funnel money into the pockets of Bell/Corus/Thomson Reuters/etc.

They won't see foreign sources either, the bill applies to showing news in Canada rather than just Canadian news. They'll have to visit sources directly. Is it desired? Probably not, but there could be silver linings. Fewer govern

It could be nice to have news off of social media. Fewer people reading headlines, either full articles or nothing at all. It'll kill all independent/local media, but then that's the goal all along.

I think it is an American vs Canadian thing. The list of ten largest banks in North America is nearly evenly split between American and Canadian banks[0], so the five main Canadian banks are 10x as large as their American counterparts, prop

I think that's an overly semantic argument. I can be as certain as I am of anything that the number in my RBC chequing account corresponds exactly to the amount of money I can withdraw or spend, and if that ever stops being the case I&

$10 trillion AUM and a market cap of $100 billion means that 99% of their investments are directly on behalf of their clients, that's what GP is emphasizing.

It's insane that flatseal isn't a native part of flatpak. Problems like you encountered mean that the packaging system is incomplete by default.

I don't see how this generalizes. If this is supposed to work for any "the {modifier} {subject}" phrase, it won't, because if you want to say "the white cow" you'll end up with "Le vache blanche,"

There's a similar app designed for cruises, where you can talk peer-to-peer over the ship's wifi without actually being online. It could work if you have a wifi antenna with you.
