Imagine a display where each pixel has a red, green, and blue VCSEL. it would be even better than a microLED display!

I am a big VCSEL fan. It makes tons of sense to have a laser that you can manufacture at chip scale. I think that VCSEL and SPAD technology is promising in both telecommunications and lidar. History tells us that the cheaper technology gets

The world of screenshot utilities in Linux also has some weird names, with "scrot" being widely used until it was surpassed by "maim" and "slop" on X and "grim" on wayland.

Once Deng Xiaoping did his reforms and opening up, it removed much of the impediments that Mao's CCP caused, and China was able to develop super fast. But recently I am a little concerned that Xi Jinping's rule is a bit of a retur

By the way, out of pure curiosity, why does it seem that there are a disproportionately high amount of super talented trans programmers? I mean, trans people make up for a relatively small percentage of the general populace so it would be u

I do have an M2 Macbook running Asahi, which works amazingly well for my casual use, but I think that there is no way that anyone will use last last gen hardware on a volunteer-developed OS for any actual work, server use cases, and so on.

Honestly if Apple had embraced Linux, the Apple Silicon CPUs would have been amazing for all sorts of server, scientific, and AI/LLM work. Too bad they are clamping down on the walled garden to focus on consumer toys instead.

I have been running multiple instances of the Codex CLI tool in several terminals to do different stuff. You can even checkout the repo several times, write the todo to a file (or ask the agent to do so), if you need.
