I wonder how much of video generative AI depended on the open source project youtube-dl/yt-dlp.

You can just read the script that you're curling rather than pipe it into sh directly. It seems like it just extracts the binary from a tar.gz and puts it into ~/.local.

Is there a way to resign a game? I don't want to play against a bot until I get totally demolished. Also, if I click in the text input, a huge keyboard shows up even on desktop, obscuring much of the game. Why?

Theoretically the network could be trained on the raw input and output voltages of the camera and display serial interface and so on. But yes, it's a magical fantasy computer.

Somehow I don't agree that it is a good idea to succumb the entire population to a known disease vector and encumber society with the massive administration and physical costs of dealing with cash, just to spite a bogeyman that's

A cashless society with NFC tap to pay or QR code-based mobile payments is much better. No need to carry around a heavy and bloated wallet full of physical coins, no need to touch dirty bank notes that have germs and even drugs on them [1].

You'll need an insane amount of battery storage, since the moon only rotates once per month and you'll need to power through a long period of no sunlight.

I remember doing laser cooling of rubidium atoms in physics class. It's really cool how it works: * Rubidium will absorb photons of a certain wavelength and re-emit it in a random direction. Since photons have momentum, it will get som

Yeah implementing the "+" operator on the tangent space is pretty common not just for Kalman filters but also nonlinear optimization in general. The Ceres library supports LocalParameterization which does that.

The main advantage of quaternions is composing rotations. The analogy would be to 2D rotations with complex numbers. When you multiply two complex numbers, you're composing the rotations (in the 2D case: it ends up just adding the arg,

Croteam is such a talented team of game developers. I really enjoyed the Talos Principle (1 and 2) and they were some of the early pioneers of a completely custom Vulkan game engine for the first game.
