"You may like it, but your users probably won't." At my job we hold focus groups for all of our projects. Never once has a layman not liked one of our projects because it uses flash. Most flash hate comes from developers who favor other pl

2 of your 3 points are purely opinion, so agreement will vary from person to person, but I disagree with number 2. Flash player is not so popular because it doesn't perform well. It perform great. One of the best sources to deliver video

Live instruction is more valuable than self-instruction to a majority of children of any age. The point can be made by taking your question 1 step further. If the information is available to kids via books, then why have school at all?

I asked a few questions (albeit silly ones) but got no answer.

I'd be interested in the right project. Maybe we can trade details?

No offense, but you can't be serious? This is just a standard install of drupal. No design, no dev. Hard to rate at all.

Wow, what a horrible response. Sometimes its better to admit you are wrong, and didn't mean Facebook and FriendFeed. By ANY measurements (viral success or otherwise) Facebook is more successful than twitter.

I don't think you can try to make light of this WORLD DAMAGING situation with other evils. While the murder of innocents is very evil and condemnable, the effects of the atomic bombs can still be felt by those born deformed and sick by som

Looks promising. I like the fact that you can demo the iphone apps with no iphone...

Hilarious...That's like complaining about the food at a homeless shelter. Its free and, in this situation, unsupported. Buy a commercial product if you want above and beyond customer service...

But at the point you talk about gaming, you eliminate mac as a competition.

Ideally, you are correct. But every society has their preset view of normal. To skate too far outside of that view will, inherently, cause a reaction. Right or wrong, this is the way our society works.

It depends on what you value as quality. Many of the things you guys have mentioned is either cosmetic, or used to preserve my computer far past its average lifespan...(with advancements in tech I have to get a new computer at least every

I agree with most of your points except one: I recently switched back to PC, and am amazed at the hardware i can get for the price. I can get a superior PC (operating system preference aside) for FAR less than a MAC. But, that being said,

I think the design is simple and clean. The icons may work better with a description on rollover, with a possible "yellow sun green house etc" but overall the design is cohesive!

I think users would love to have the option to access millions more apps/sites/content. Flash is indeed searchable, and indexed since flashplayer 9.

Actually since flash player 9, flv's have supported H.264 video.

That's not the right choice for a non-visual programmer maybe. But its popularity is partially due to it being designer friendly.

I for one, see no problem with a properly done flash project (not bad amateur work). We can argue open-ness, but realistically it amazes me that everyone is wishing for something that already exists! (prepared to be down-voted for liking f

This is a crazy idea, in my honest opinion. IQ tests are not perfect, not should they be used to create a class-ist society ruled by high testers. Paris Hilton has a 129 IQ and Andy Warhol's was 86. But who contributed more to society?
