I genuinely love how American, Australian, and British, English all differ in these subtle ways. I think another example that gets me is: `e.g.` vs `e.g.,` MS Word favours the `e.g.,` which I never see in Australian English.

Not sure about US law, but in Australia, Copyright notices are not required at all, they're granted automatically under the law and only serve as a reminder -- so it's irrelevant.

It's worth reading the entire article and comments - very interesting. I particularly like the bit at the end discussing the ethics of the recovery - I can't decide if it is ethical or not...many sides to the issue.
