OK, sad, but the problem here is identifying yourself too much with your job (which is always interchangeable and finite, as opposed to identifying yourself with the real value of your person, which is always infinite).

We should not ignore, once in a while, that we only talk about hypothesis here, quite nothing about his (certainly very interesting theories) can be proven empirically -- so it's far from universally acceptable, real, concrete science. Sad

Teaching has always to do with bringing something really new and perfect to a still quite fresh mind. So, when teaching, you always need to bring the simple and perfect theory. Practice is what your students will make out of your 'perfect'

I fully understand you -- and I don't understand you at all. If you got all of the revolutionary Lisp ideas, you don't have to worry about the rest -- currently I'm more or less forced to use C++ instead of CL (which is still my favorite la
