If it appears that you need/want a better education/etc, come to UW. We've got a killer CS/Math program (one of the best in Canada?), and there are pink ties autographed by Bill Gates in the Math department.

My suggestion: 1. Add a reddit account. 2. Unsubscribe from all subreddits. 3. Subscribe to the subreddits below: /r/depthhub /r/philosophy /r/Foodforthought /r/math /r/TrueReddit /r/Cerebral /r/TrueTrueReddit /r/MetaTrueReddit /r/TRDump 4.

I believe that there was a post about this before. IIRC, the way that HN is set up, it re-distributes the "fnid=NSgN9i46gR" parameters at the end of the string to the first/second/third/etc. pages. Reddit (a similar example) does this, but

It uses the same compression as GWT (google web toolkit) does, but it's probably not written in GWT. Maybe some sort of python alternative? Who knows?

I was about to report a bug that I noticed in Chrome today. Then I switched to Canary, and realized that it was fixed. Then looked back at the form: Builds: 13.0.772.0 dev 13.0.775.0 canary It's a great day for browsers.

I like the idea of the reemote app. I can't read the text on your website though, and I'm sure that I'm not alone. (the captions under the logos)

I believe that there is a chrome extension for this. If you can't reply (and I can't find it myself), I'll make it for you. Edit: to clarify, I believe that there is a chrome extension that does this inside twitter.com

...it's too easy to create a dictionary linking а to a. A bit of money put together with croudsourcing (or doing it yourself - it would take about 2:46 hours) would beat this.

Made a project last weekend using the raphael.js + the Facebook API. http://shalecraig.com/friendspore Since it's all local (no node + etc), your data stays with you.

I personally hate vimeo because of their horrible fallback & lack of some forms of IE support. If you're using IE without flash installed (in my experience), it defaults to a black background with black text on top. great user experienc

I was bored this last weekend, so I've made a facebook friend visualizer. Built from a modified mindmap.js framework, using raphael.js+jquery.js for visualizing your friends. Interestingly, raphael uses the canvas element, and the facebook

I've got a project for you: In terms of algorithms and data structures, this is about the best that you can get: Given a list of 10k unordered sets of 5 letters (let's say a .txt file, 5 letters per line), print what set occurs most often.
