With a Kubernetes autoscaler, this takes you ~20 Minutes to setup pod autoscaling. If you run your k8s on say GKE, setting up node autoscaling is another 5 Minutes.

I absolutely loved going to FOSDEM this year for the first time. It's an amazing community!

SAP is the worst software I've ever used in my entire life; they literally have to publish paid books on how to use it, that's how bad it is.

Pete Buttigeg literally invested in the dark money corp that built it and is now claiming he won because there are no results. They are rigging the primaries against Bernie just like they did in 2016.

Doing something bad intentionally first is a really great tool. I do this a lot with my Go projects; I'll write a really crappy, huge `main` function, push it to GitHub and then my mind tells me "hey, you can't let that be ou

Anyone who unironically thinks that the obviously positive effects of free and open science are even comparable to piracy is a lunatic.

Channels are really nice; I love writing "workers" with them and sending errors and "status messages" with a simple `status <- "starting supernode"`/`errors <- err`; doing this with i.e. Node's

YES! The DRM-free books are amazing. It feels so good to finally be able to _own_ a book and be sure of being able to read it for long into the future.

As a Fedora user myself as well, this indeed seems like a massive waste; I can see the point of different distros having different init systems (i.e. Devuan for SysV init, Debian for systemd, Alpine for openrc, ...) but multiple init system

18yo JS/Ruby/Go dev here. `make` is certainly known to us; it's just that platform-specific build systems (`mage` for Go, `rake` for Ruby, `gulp` for JS etc.) are simply more sane to set up per languages than using `make` for

Seize the means of registration. Seriously, why on earth are the domain registries of the world not in the hands of the people? This stuff is far to important to be under the control of cooperations.
