Don't know about the UK,but here in Denmark they are quite different degrees (even if they have the same etymological origin). A PhD. here does not give you the title Doctor, while a doctorate does.

Considering that COM programs are headerless I can't imagine any way a specially crafted binary could do anything since there is no parsing going on. The "COM loader" just hands it off to NTVDM which does not exist on 64-bit

emojis were added in Unicode 6.0 in 2010. Surrogate pairs were introduced with Unicode 2.0 in 1996. It should be pretty clear from that timeline that emojis had nothing to do with it. Unicode as of today contains 92,856 CJK Unified Ideograp

Why? Do you believe they have copied the code from somewhere? The compiled binaries may be infringing on patents, but as far as I am aware source code in itself is exempt. The DMCA has nothing to do with patents though.

Actually it only needs to be a disjunctive (or rich) number which is a weaker condition. We don't know whether pi is that either for any integer base.

Ah yes forgot about that. The kernel side has also been split up into win32kbase.sys and win32kfull.sys/win32kmin.sys (I think win32kmin may have only been used for the now discontinued Windows 10 Mobile), and win32k.sys just calls int
