Smooth because of the faster drawing you mean? termite at least scrolls by pixels (not lines) and seems smooth enough to me. But maybe for something like fast compiling output? I did try alacritty some time ago, but didn't really notic

For the Linux users, any compelling case for alacritty (or similar style renders)? I'm quite happy with termite, fast startup, handles fonts well, etc. I've use urxvt in the past too, that that was a little trickier with fonts and

Big fan of RSS since back at least to the Google Reader days. I realized I was just checking the same websites over and over and decided to streamline the process. (That ended up in building up a backlog of entries in a feed and scrambling

I need to play around more with clj-org-analyzer, but thanks for making it! It was great to visualize time tracking over a long period of time last I used it.

Hmm, good to know, thanks. I enjoy setting up little services and playing around, so maybe I'll give it a go. Still, for the 6800xt at least, stock is barely existent and is at huge markups (or tends to be the more expensive versions i

Don't you also need to evade IP blocking for pinging their page every minute (or whatever interval)? And either way, right now no sanely priced 6800 series cards are being stocked anyway, from what I've seen. I'm not paying $

Sure, there will always be people out to make a (not so quick?) buck. Having sufficient supply, and thus not being able to scalp for profit, would help. But something as simple as backorders and a queue would help too, as that would tamper

I'm sure it'll eventually ease up (there's always a crunch with new GPUs and consoles, plus all the factors of 2020/21), but I don't take AMD's word for much as their early PR on launch availability was hardly

That's huge and a big reason why my next GPU will be from AMD. If I can ever get one that is, between scarcity, demand, bots, scalpers, ...it is terrible out there. You can be on a stock watcher Discord and click instantly to still see

To add to hardware that's being mentioned in this discussion, for reference, I use a 27" 4k monitor (Dell P2715Q) at 1.5x scaling and a laptop with 15" 4k screen (Dell XPS 15 9550) at 2x scaling. Both on Arch, X11, and just a
