I agree that the "flag" link is overloaded. I don't think I have ever flagged anything because I associate that with spam, not "opinions of people that I think are ruining the community"

Those two opposing viewpoints on a designer's role probably have a lot to do with the type of application you are designing. If I was doing the hiring, I would expect more template language understanding for a web application than from mark

No they wouldn't. Jet Blue doesn't overbook their flights. If fact, they pay you $1000 if you ever get bumped. See their passenger's bill of rights: http://www.jetblue.com/p/about/ourcompany/promise/Bill_Of_Ri... I think it's reasonable f

Gruber may benefit from Apple because employees at apple give him good information, but he doesn't hide it. Furthermore, especially in this case, he's calling them out. He usually doesn't let his love of the company from clouding his apprai

I think porting to a number is only available to well connected web-celebrities right now. Supposedly it's coming in the fall to us plebeians.

This is what bothers me about this: He points out that journalists have a name for one type of sourcing (presumably to indicate that he knows something about journalism). He then mocks them for being irrelevant. After this, he goes on about

Isn't the point of bankruptcy to wipe out all debts after they took too much risk and/or just got unlucky? In theory that sounds better than giving people a few more months to keep going with their too-much-risk-taking approach now loaded w

I can't picture Steve fuming about it. I can see him kicking doors in and fixing it. But he's (aparently) not. That's the thing: either Steve lost control of his baby or he lost his sense of morals. Both are disturbing to me.

This is really getting ridiculous. I think the hardest part to understand is that we all know that Jobs will come down on people who make mistakes with furious anger. He will protect those he agrees with even in the face of public outrage.

I see what you're saying… but don't confuse depth of a thread for quality. I think the first comment was down-modded for language and then typical troll-baited discussion took over. The second one is definitely a better example because the

What the RIAA is really saying is, "DRM (for digital downloads) is dead." DRM for subscription, streaming, etc… is and will be alive and well. I think the consumers of these kinds of service understand and accept that the content isn't real

What's with the personal attack? When did I illogically and fanboyishly endorse Barack Obama's plan? I'm telling you my interpretation of this article. I even went as far as to call it interesting. I think that even if it's logical, I doubt
