Smart TV's effectively have touch-style interfaces as well now, where the remote is like using a mouse in free space versus the traditional D pad. The LG Freespace and Sony One Flick come to mind.

You can actually see this behavior in the car when it runs into a difficult situation. It tells you it's asking for assistance or something similar, and pauses for a few seconds. I also made the mistake of assuming the remote operator

Can someone explain how this works on iOS post Apple's removal of IDFA? The advertising ID (MAID) in any specific app is relevant only to that app, so it seems like it would be useless for profiling? I don't see how apps can acces

That's an interesting objection so I asked ChatGPT to clarify: California Attorney General's Office (2024-25 Budget): $1.28 billion total California per capita spending: Approximately $32.92 per person, based on a population of 39

Salary based requirements are the easiest to game. Create shell company, inject enough cash to cover salaries, hire people who want to live in the US and charge them a margin on the cash they gave you. Lots of people will happily pay the IR

IMHO the Improbable 'debacle' was solely due to the Improbable CEO coming up with new use cases outside the scope and spirit of the Unity license. I'm no fan of Improbable (and history has proven my opinion accurate) and they

There must be an employee-employee relationship. Difficult to pull off if you are completely solo but possible for most startups with more than one founder where you are not CEO.

US residency and citizenship is in extremely high demand, so whatever immigration system is put in place will ultimately be gamed. Creating a visa category that is solely based on salary would be attractive to some cohort of people who want

E3 is absolutely the best way for Australians in my experience. It's more flexible than a H1B and the process is much simpler. The only downside is there is no simple path to a green card like H1B, but I managed to get one anyway. You&

My first job was programming an ancient COBOL system in a government agency riddled with outdated tech. The only real upside was, COBOL is so wordy, it forced me to improve my typing speed!
