I disagree. I bet the French government is more afraid of their people than the American government is. The French people shut down their economy and raise holy hell when the government starts acting contrary to their interests. The America

In a world of unpaid internships, I think there are probably a number of employers who would break out the contract with a big, fat goose egg on it if you tried this.

The individual employee can say that too. I'm in a highly competitive housing market, and my children are in a highly competitive educational market. A number of interesting projects that won't pay off immediately. Since when is

I did really well in school, and am a professional developer now, and my wife utterly destroys me at this game. She can find sets in real time as the cards are being dealt, while singing along with music, it's maddening.

The popular drug of the age always seems to reflect the general mood, the zeitgeist of the time. I just assumed the era determined in what direction people generally choose to escape from reality, rather than economic factors. Go-go eighti

My answer to the question, is 'NO'. I love trains, and use them whenever possible. However, with static start and endpoints, and existing low-cost air infrastructure that is dynamically reroutable and equivalently fast, why spend

I totally disagree. Drones are the most precise tool (limiting collateral damage) in the history of war. Do you seriously think that if drones didn't exist, they wouldn't be conducting air raids or sending in legions of troops to

Ha! I periodically check the comments sections on WSJ political articles to acquaint with the latest right wing conspiracy theories. Sometimes the comments at foxnews.com are more civil than WSJ in my experience, but they're both prett

Yep, pretty much. As a die-hard train lover, I've moved on to autonomous cars as the hope for civilized travel in the future. Like a tiny train that takes you wherever you want to go. Plus, the era of public spending on public good in

This is silly! Absolutism is not tenable. Fracking may be bad for the environment in absolute terms, but it also has effectively made the US energy independent. Geopolitically, this is a brain dead position to take.

Half of America still thinks the word 'socialism' is a curse word. There are enough ignorants, malcontents, and profiteers to hold back meaningful progress far beyond any of our lifespans. Not to be a wet blanket or anything, but
