Yeah, I'm surprised this is allowed. It's risky for the owner, who opts in but may be mislead about the current accuracy of the model, but even worse, it's dangerous to all 3rd party drivers, ciclists and pedestrians. It'

There was an economist who was walking down the street with a friend. The friend stops and says, "Look, there is a $20 bill on the ground!" The economist turns and coolly replies, "Can't be. If there was a $20 bill on t

Is privacy thar expensive? Isn't each user's data worth 1 or 2 dollar? From the consumer perspective: I want the 500-2000 euros device I bought not to spy on me. Were it not the status quo, this would sound ridiculous.

Dumb rule of thumb but it works: if something has "truth" in its name, it's unscientific right wing propaganda. Of course this does not apply all the time, and you should evaluate the content and make a proper judgment. But

From the first sentence alone, I can already imagine what kind of community Gab has... The "freedom of speech", as in "freedom of hate speech" kind of community, probably.

It seems Gab banned anti-christian messages. So the 'freedom of speech' in this community is pretty much a dogwhistle for'freedom of alt-right speech'. (Not sure dogwhistle is the right word here, but it's the often

I'd start by questioning why the article critizes Biden and Obama while defending Trump, who is famous for calling any news that made him look bad 'fake news'.

My understanding is Terms of Service have little significance in courts: whatever a company writes in its ToS, it must still comply with the laws. Facebook banning you due to some vague ToS? No problem, your access to Facebook isn't pr

Teams has a browser app that works just like the desktop client, which is probably just a thin wrapper around a web app. The only thing ive missed there is the ability to take control of someone else's pc.

You can spend your vacation time at home, if you don't want to spend money on big trips. Where I live, vacations are 30 days a year but most people only spend around 7 on big trips, or less if they need to save money.

Valve is (was?) known for being silent too often - at least concerning Dota 2 (the diretide event 'scandal'). Maybe they're trying to correct that, after so many complaints about their poor communication, which is nice.
