I plugged these in the every display in our building because they are so much more reliable than anything else. They worked so well that they all found new homes within a few months :(

They didn't distribute the bar codes, they had peoples bring their laptops to IT where the IT staff used the scanner to scan the code from the screen of a machine they themselves controlled.

I switched from Plex to JF after being a plex user from the very beginning. It's not as polished as plex but it has none of the bloat and works flawlessly for me. It's super easy to manage my libraries and the meta scanners work 9

I won't be running ads in this format. They're a great way to make your target audience harbour negative feelings towards your brand. I can see these kinds of ads quickly becoming a sea of low-quality, spammy, or scammy ads like t

I wonder if maybe they have implemented the touch bar in a much more useful way? The mac one was pointless and only served to reduce utility but with the right software it could have been fantastic. Some 3rd party software hacks even gave i

Wouldn't someone using this sort of thing also buy a cheap burner phone and throw-away sim card? They're easy to buy with cash and you don't need to register them or anything to use them. Supermarkets in the UK even sell sims

It's different, sure. But it's not _better_ for it. They made the UX worse to give the scroll wheel a reason to exist, that isn't what I class as innovation.

It was very obvious that the original statement from Rabbit was knowingly false when they made it. It's weird to me how these companies dig themselves deeper by doing stuff like that, have they never experienced the real world before?

I've seen this kind of comment a few times, I was considering building some tools on top of Claude but this strongly puts me off. I don't want to invest the engineering time only to randomly have the account blocked with no warnin

You can just as easily run pirated games on real hardware as you can a steamdeck, and vice-versa. You're conflating emulation and piracy. Emulation does not mean piracy as it is perfectly legal (and moral) to dump a game that you own s

Sheesh! Do you need a hug? Anyway, with chat GPT you can simply give it the image from the reddit post and get the OCRd and translated text. It's one step, it's fast, it's accurate enough. Why not use it?
