As far as HSMs go the Yubico YubiHSM 2 is the cheapest and most approachable one I've found. [0] I don't have a good feeling for how it compares to some of the other products out there but it is also the only one that has a list

It sounds like the main source of this story is the owner of the private mercenary company. It seems like he thinks publicizing his teams actions will some how drum up business.

It strikes me that companies and being squeezed from both ends by government. On one hand they are getting lambasted for too much data collection. On the other they are being sued because they don't collect enough data in the case of

Nicer places can charge more. It's just what when push comes to shove people aren't going to move 5 hours away for nice finishes. They will how ever put up with cheap counter tops if it means being 1 block from the metro. The o

Yes, SF is a perfect example where demand so wildly outstrips supply that the dominating driver of cost is space. Whether it is nice space or a total dump is only a small percentage of what dictates the over all price. Look at it this way,

It probably comes down to how common the alleged problem boards are. If these devices only ended up in a small percentages of boards produced it might be very difficult to find a board that even had it.
