Yeah. And nobody can do anything other than wait until their period has passed. I had to mail Hetzner multiple times because of this.

Long, long time ago, when last.fm radio was still a thing on it's own, I loved it: instead of pre-arranging a playlist, it kept adding the next song by searching for similar ones based on the one currently playing. It kept crawling awa

Whoever downvoted the comment above start your own server, and we'll talk a decade later. The comment is correct; nobody can guarantee uptime. The can promise, there can be agreements, insurance, etc, but guaranteeing is basically impo

99.95% is a high standard already: 365x0.0005x24 is 4.38 hours outage for a year. In our current world, 4.38 hours is certainly not enough time to, say, rebuild a DB from backup, if needed.

All of them, sadly. Outlook is probably the craziest of all, adding the a /16 of Hetzner, because 1 IP sent spam.

Update: from what I read, the reasoning can probably only effects systems where history is stored - slack, matrix, to name two. IRC most probably not, XMPP only if configured. Email: unlikely, it's a very different system.

There is a significant difference there though: reddit is still a single, central entity. Matrix, XMPP, email, (and activitypub based systems, ssbc, and anything federated) could be connecting to one's own server. It could be a machine

So in this regards, Matrix is no different from email. Should it be expected that the play store will ban email clients?

Those might be the exceptions, at least for now. Ever since Firefox's crusade against IE the majority of people seem to still know there are different ~programs~ apps to access the internet with. As long as Chrome is not the default in
