Shouldn't Forth (when directly translated to either ARM or x86_64 assembly) be faster than compiled C?

I don't contest these examples, but that's exactly why I call what it does "thunking" (think: "clumsy thinking") instead of "thinking" (in order to get around the epistemological/philosophical pr

It is trained on WASM btw, but if we invented one specific for it, it could easily be trained up on it or refined with it. I've already had some success just handing it a language guide and it runs with it.

At that point, why not develop a custom language or IL that is specifically designed for LLM use and which compiles to good native code? I propose WASM, or an updated version of it

Ruby is 1000x better than Go or Python IMHO. Personal opinion, of course. I've been lucky to work in Elixir jobs for a few years. Funny thing, though, I've been curious about getting closer to the metal after messing with LuaJIT a

I switched from Ruby to Elixir about 10 years ago for a number of reasons. 10x performance on various algorithms I translated into Elixir was one. Another one was 100% immutability, ruling out an entire class of bugs. A third was excellent
