Really? Average cost per year to own a car is $9000 per the AAA website. Car storage has its own cost to cities - because parking lots generate no /little property taxes or sales tax. Many Americans disagree about the value of walkabil

You are surprised to learn that your particular experience is not the norm. In fact studies have shown devoting vast expanses of land to parking is economically bad. See : Stroup "The high cost of Free parking" and the http:/

VTA has the routes that look good but in practice don't coordinate in weird ways, For example try to get from parts of Sunnyvale to Google.

A big problem San Jose has is that they stuck their airport in the middle of the city. Height limits are imposed along the air traffic patterns. (Not that the other parts of San Jose are any better.) As an historical note, the key planner&#

Sounds like your company runs a pretty marginal business. A worker that is making $10/hr ($20K / year ) now makes $15 / hr or $30K /year doesn't add the $10+K in extra value. When I hear about companies that are not

I think the key is to get past the "mediocre/o.k." skill level . The problem with going deep is picking the right discipline. Since you may pick wrong initially, going broad first allows a chance to pivot to a different skill

I find this incredibly sad. Plenty great products/languages have died because of poor documentation, poor respect for beginners. Yet... here the Scala community is... repeating the past and justifying with the same reasons. I personall

It would have been nice if the article spent a paragraph or two on what constituted a trapdoor prime. The only thing I saw was that trapdoors were close to a power of two. All tease, no delivery.
