Delicious Brains' stuff was obviously going to make the list as they're another WPEngine acquisition. No idea what's the deal with the others though.

Got a call today from a client I hadn't heard from in 5 years. They use ACF, they use another plugin that WPEngine acquired to move their uploaded files to S3. They're freaking out at all this and worried about how the next thing

The post this leads to just reeks of influencer/devrel marketing-speak. Show something then be cocky about it, not the other way around. And how can Automattic be convincingly 'proud to announce' this fork, when this fork lit

Everyone relies on those servers. That's how WordPress ships. There is no way to make it use other servers and WordPress is an otherwise very flexible platform; it benefits from centralizing all of that as illustrated by the way it&#

He's already forced them to create an alternative store with their plugins so they can be used on WPEngine. Now he will force a split between the official version, hosted on WPEngine and the one hosted on WordPress.org. Misrepresenting

Because with what you are asking WPEngine, that will be the result. Other hosts will follow to not be taken hostage by your opinions. So if WPEngine creates another repository for their customers and the very popular plugins they acquired,
