No api stability promises before 1.0 is technically part of semver. It sounds like io.js should have stayed below 1.0 if they broke backwards compatibility three times in less than a year! I always found the naming-and-proclaiming of semver

The main problem with that standard, focusing on copies , is that when a work isn't fixed in a physical medium (like an optical disk), everything is a copy. The internet just copies, into your system memory, onto your storage device.

I was wrong about that. I thought there were cases where accusation + not (yet) being proved innocent was enough to get on the list. But a look at wikipedia shows that some kind of conviction or guilty plea is always involved. But there is

Well in the US, "sex offenders" (including public urination and some people not actually convicted of doing what is alleged) are marked for life and need to inform their neighbors of their shunned status whenever they move. (On th

My point was that the hardware acceleration, and vp8 vs h264, doesn't really matter. The computation power of processors sold in 2010, even those in not-very-thick laptops, was probably double my Athlon64. The difference is everything

That's probably not why. h264 would indeed use less cpu time than vp8 if there was hardware acceleration from the graphics driver available and being used for h264 but not vp8 (which is plausible). But software decoding can be pretty e
