Have a few functions taking UTF-8 paths for the filesystem operations you need, have separate versions for Windows and for other systems, and enable one or the other version with the preprocessor?

The best approach is to develop completely local build scripts and add a few options to plug GitHub Actions' exclusive features into them. Make a build script that can take a cache folder's path as argument. Make it take a test re

Just run the GitHub cache action on your build directory and then run make inside it?

Doesn't that sound a bit tautological? One not wanting to date people one isn't interested in?

The very first version was just a creative-mode browser game without any health or fight mechanics, I think. (Never played it as I started in alpha)

Yes please keep stacking compilers on top of compilers. I loved dealing with Qt builds in CMake. Can't wait for Python's stable and consistent packaging tools to handle not-Python code that compiles down to Python code.

Is there something about Bazel's design choices that makes it so complicated? I felt like an idiot when I tried to build some old version of TensorFlow with some old non-default flag. I found even learning CMake easier.

Is it plausible that the US military would use "UAP" as a cover for tests of new technology, and make up/classify new footage to keep the conspiracy theories alive? Completely paranoiac or possible? I've heard the theory

Those are better handled by typing.ParamSpec, it should keep track of the unwrapped function's arguments.

What device can you buy today with integrated ad blocking enabled by default? Ad blockers having paying partnerships can be a problem, but something like Ublock Origin does not.

Is there anything you could access from the keyboard or touchpad? Seems easy enough to only accept the inputs that the login screen needs and nothing else.

It’s a waste if you need coordination between the tasks though. Putting an async task aside and sending only dumb synchronous function calls that never wait is more efficient than blocking a thread while it waits on another. asyncio with an

My view: “concurrent” just means that there can be a point in time when two tasks/functions/coroutines/whatever have started but haven’t finished. “Parallel” means that they actually run at the same time, e.g. on different CP

They are in the sense that anything one would want to do with a venv, they can do with trivial effort. You don't need the activate script, you can just set PATH, PYTHONHOME and/or PYTHONPATH and be done with it.

They are though, at least on Windows, I’ve moved them before. The whole Lib/ tree was independent of the venv’s path, it’s only the “activate” script that hard-codes a full path. Since venvs on Linux symlink to the system’s Python exec

Because cannabis can have effects up to a week after if I remember correctly. And it’s not very predictable. Alcohol is cleared out at a predictable rate and has no effect after a few hours, you’ll just be tired.

That's different from complexity though. We actually understand why some algorithms have better complexity and results than others, while we mostly have no idea how intelligence works or even how to define it.

Don't a lot of these algorithms come from TCS researchers themselves? They may publish about complexity but if that gives some people a better understanding of algorithms and leads to better ones being invented, it's a win.

The paths are continuous, but if they move two neighbouring molecules away from each other, the final transformation won't be continuous, will it?

The real value is what they managed to pay for the product plus the cost of their own work. You could know it down to the cent and still not benefit from cutting out the middleman.

The usual methods to control versions with a lockfile don’t work here because it’s a build dependency. You’d need to disable build isolation and install the right build tools in your environment before installing pyyaml but that can become
