I don't think the location history is very accurate. Either the polling interval is too low, or they use less power consuming location services, but Google fudges my history a good amount of time.

Have you considered that Quora is failing because it's user-hostile? I do not visit Quora links on Google because I know it's going to tease me with a snippet and force me to login.

Windows and Office are Trojan horses for Azure. Microsoft does all sorts of SKU trickery at the time of Windows and Office license renewal to make it seem like you can't afford to NOT buy Azure from them.

That's not true. The coins that advertise ASIC resistance have chosen algorithms which are deliberately stubborn to optimize with HW. In other words, inefficiency (=> high resource consumption) is an explicit goal.

Good points and we are definitely not above this phenomenon. Articles with >500 comments are almost always infested with endless threads pitting fanboys against haters. It's an infinite loop that goes nowhere.

Not surprised. Apple spent most of the 90's cranking out one turd after another. There were a few hits for well-heeled professionals, but their consumer offerings were generally a bunch of fatally compromised Road Apples. https:/

I didn't realize HE was still so primitive. Whenever there is a privacy kerfulffle for thing X, HN commenters say "X should be implemented with homomorphic encryption instead!" LOL
