The effect seems to be more noticeable in the areas filled with gas. I'm not saying that stars aren't pinpoints or sometimes are just single pixles, but just it overall looks like some post-sharpening has definitely been applied a

It looks a little grainy / too much sharpening to my eye. Natural images tend have more blended features instead of looking like sand.

Would love to see this for Haskell as well for comparison (both a simple, idiomatic solution as well as a more optimized approach via profiling)

That the ranking is the same seems a bit of an early assumption to make, without seeing all or more of the data.

That's the what, not the why Also, nothing has been removed, only added. You can see more of the data which was hidden before.

then you'd also claim that a parser generator grammer could also be implemented with functional recursion. so what is the value of the original claim though?

And yet all the implementations are actually just functional recursion, in practice, no?

Does this fall under the category of a recursive descent parser?

There are a lot of claims made to try to apply CT to programming; I agree most of that effort is overhyped. But CT in general has nothing to do with programming, it's proper role is in pure mathematics

If you actually had a cash-only designated account, would the broker still have to pull from their own cash reserves to make the trade?

I could buy GME through ETrade but IB wouldn't allow a buy with cash. The chairman said something about market health but the reason he gave was about margin without using that word.

The reason he gave in that video was because of margin ("the cust not being able to pay"), which doesn't explain not being able to buy with cash.
