There is this variation of the dragon curve: order: 10 axiom: FX angle: 90 X -> X+FYF- Y -> +FXF-Y This avoids the self-intersections (like a similar depiction of the Hilbert and Gosper curves), yet it remains relati

My impression was that pipelined processors pipeline across CALL instructions. They even speculate across indirect calls. How you describe this is as if there was a significant penalty to reading EIP or calling a function on a pipelined pro

It's arguably an asshole move, even if legal. You really just gain the same time as the other people collectively lose between the off ramp and on ramp. In addition you cause additional traffic on the ramps, which might hold up other r

Possibly. All I'm saying that what banks do isn't simply "firing customers".

The main issue isn't firing a customer (although it's bad), but locking up their money. It's not like they say "hey, we want to stop doing business with you, please transfer all your money to some other bank within a wee

I mostly agree with this, nobody likes `fobricate(true, false, true)`. I do have to wonder if this is a cure for the lack of named function arguments in C++.

The label seems to serve as a reference. If have `-> [<end>a]` and `-> [<end>b]` then that's different than having two instances of `-> [<end>a]` from different source nodes. Being able to visibly label them

I don't know, this still looks annoying: https://thinkpads.com/support/hmm/hmm_pdf/t430_t430i_hmm_en_... Granted, you don't have to remove the display at least.

As counterpoint for the repairability I never liked how hard it is to access the fan assembly on thinkpads. You basically have to fully take the laptop apart to access it. And for the laptops from a decade ago I typically wanted to clean th

No, it is merely a hyperbole. You are right in the legal sense, the maintainers don't owe him to put his name in the copyright header. There is no legal IP for the root cause analysis part of the work. However arguably root cause analy

I don't think this was the same vulnerability that you saw happening. I think many operations in shaders produce "unspecified" pixel values, which in practice often just manifests in getting pixel values from some previously

So was the truncation attack already there in 1.1.1? I think it's OK for a patch that changes the dependency to 3 to just retain existing behavior. Addressing the problematic behavior should be a distinct patch.

git log and all other commands' man page should really refer back to gitglossary here then. And they should either name their argument <pathspec>, or specify that the given argument (<path> or <file>) is a pathspec.

8-bit micros can and usually have wider than 8-bit ADCs. Having said that you are right, I don't expect this ADC to work as a decent oscilloscope.
