I'm cynically imagining that since it's a collection of big automakers, it is pretty easy for them to affect policy. It looks like consumers and automakers are both wanting driverless cars so putting any enevitable regulations qui

There's just something off putting about having a president that doesn't keep up with current events.

Honestly I feel like a lot of this is social. I'm motivated to go and work because my peers all do that to and it's been that way since I was a kid. People I knew in high school went to college. Now my college peers are getting jo

This seems almost by definition of government working for corporations over its citizens. What a sad day.

That's a very customer hostile attitude to have. Even iCloud can run out of space / backing up over mobile data might be prohibitive to some.

You can write clean safe code in C++, Rust tries to turn that can to a must.

One could also argue: do black communities commit more crime or is it just enforced more in black communities due to more police presence, etc... I'm not aware of any conclusive data that shows that black people are more predisposed to

I use ads on my hobby site to pay for my hobby site. I make like $10 a year off of it. I run ads because I'd rather not pay out of pocket but I hardly consider it as something that makes me money for the sake of making money.

I have not seen women being hounded out of the industry by rape and death threats either. I think your statement is hyperbole. I also think that TheSpiceIsLife has a point. Somewhere along the lines of championing equality it became unpopul

It's a good thing then that the elderly (primary recipients of social security) vote in high numbers. Now, if only the government did anything to the benefit of younger people (or really anything at all, seriously, look at what has bee

I feel like I am educated and fairly high income (will clear $200k this year) but I honestly feel like I have no way to affect change. Contacting representatives yields nothing but form responses, protesting has had no real effect. Voluntee

What country doesn't spy and try to delicately skate around the law? Everyone was surprised with US spying but honestly, why isn't every country trying to or actively doing that too?

Thad great that you use a password manager but the majority of Internet users probably don't. What's your point? Either way you look at it if Dropbox was breeches then it's the responsible thing for them to do, to disclose.

To be fair one of the first comments on the issue is some guy from Microsoft saying: "We can't make this change without an RFC. Oh, by the way, the community cannot create an RFC." If I was actually interested in using powers

Sanders and Johnson couldn't be more far apart on economic policy. It's a false equivalence to say that they are similar. One is inherently for welfare the other vehemently against it in most forms.
