As you're adding features, please maintain a high bar on speed and efficiency of the tool. I would really hate to see this thing bogged down with lots of fancy/unoptimized js libraries in the name of adding features

I've worked in AWS for five years. I get paid, but the kind of knowledge in these pieces are by far the most valuable thing I've gotten from working there. I've been in it. I've used these principals. I've seen what

If we can use GANs to produce believable images of a subject and we can identify whether a video frame can exist between two others, it seems like we can produce infinitely high framerate videos that look like they were captured that way. T

The suggestion was to provision it at 4x, then dial back down to 1x, then load the data. This is to force DynamoDB to split the partitions further before you use them so that they don't split while you're filling the table.

That comment was specifically in regards to the claim that ScyllaDB is cheaper for nearly every use case. The 5000 nodes point was to make clear that you cannot disregard automation and maintenance costs. This is relevant to the post's

Yes, the cost/latency trade-off is exactly why this can be interesting. Significantly fewer or less-impactful outliers can save a lot of money (or allow a better SLA with the same cost).

The report states they are using iperf, ping, stress-ng, and sysbench; these are all open-source. There might not be enough details to reproduce exactly, but I think there is enough there that you should be able to produce similar results.

I wonder if they will consider expanding the cloud report to things that are not necessarily relevant to Cockroach labs use-case. In my work, latency to the block store (especially outliers) is very relevant. It would be great to see latenc

For tldr, skip straight to the example. It illustrates the idea very well. It could be neat to make something like this compile to a Minecraft world with a redstone circuit.
