But that _is_ KDE's philosophy: let anyone turn it into exactly what they want.

Break the terms of service, get mad and write a blog post. It's not even hidden in some legalese; they tell you not to serve majority image/video content _everywhere_ in the UI. All my tunnels are still running great, for free. I

Unless you walk to that restaurant, it will absolutely be subsidized. 6 percent of all state and local spending is on roads. And that's not counting any negative externalities, which subsidies should be reducing (like, for example, a s

Are you referring to how the credit temporarily applies to more vehicles for the next few months? It can take a bit to implement new laws, especially complicated ones. I don't see anyone "ignoring congress".

Append only modes are brilliant. Is there an easy way to hook into something like Glacier Deep Archive? That would be super cost effective.

Is this really a massive cost, though? What does it cost to release some statements to the media and maybe reimburse some hotel receipts in 6 months? Especially balanced against the fuel savings of grounding half your fleet for 6 days. It&#

It replaced Twitter for me. Pretty much everyone I was following on Twitter is on Mastadon now, but also a whole bunch more because discoverability is easier for me on Mastadon. Maybe it will never replace Twitter as the place to follow cel

Ah, that’s why I was banned. I had my Mastadon account in my profile. Made that account in 2007. What a shame to have something so important completely torn down.

It's not pedantic, it's me fighting back against all these non-scientific logic shortcuts. Taste buds don't exist "to do" anything; they just exist. We can't anthropomorphize everything all the time, and then u

What you just wrote had a few mistakes on the order of a gender error, and several worse, but I understood you just fine. What matters is that you were able to communicate with me, in my native language; and I'm grateful to you for mak

I agree. I’m trying to learn German now and I keep failing lessons because I screw up gender and conjugation stuff. I wish there was a way to tell the app that I don’t give a shit. Even if I learn all the genders perfectly, I’m still going

Someone needs to invite a malicious homeserver to the group. So what’s the scenario here? You have an encrypted group chat with so many members that some rando nefarious user can slip in? And then the big deal is that the E2E breaks down, s

I bet if you hang your queen 5-6 times, for one of those, taking the queen won't be the top move. Just think about if your queen would _still_ be hanging after a check that maybe captures some other piece first. And then that strategy

Apple is still on the hook for support if you disable that option, either because that's what you wanted, or because someone from Microsoft Support called you and told you that you needed to disable it so he could remove the virus.

Bit of a stretch to call Rust a Corolla. A lot of the time they both compile to equivalent assembly, and when they don't, the run-time performance is usually very close.
